On February 11, 2021, the Directorate General of Trade Remedies (DGTR) initiation notification regarding Mid – Term Review[1] to review the product scope of definitive countervailing duty imposed on “Welded Stainless Steel Pipes and Tubes” originating in or exported from China PR and Vietnam.

According to DGTR, this present review is only for the limited purpose of investigating the need for excluding special standards products that cannot be produced by the Indian domestic industry. DGTR will not reconsider the dumping margin and injury in the original investigation.

From February 12, 2021, to February 17, 2021, DGTR announced to hold a Hearings through Digital Video Conferencing for 04 anti-dumping (AD) and countervailing duty (CVD) cases on some products originating from Vietnam, as follows:

1. Anti-dumping investigation concerning imports of “Polyester Yarn (Polyester Spun Yarn)” from China, Indonesia, Nepal and Vietnam. Time: 3:00 PM (IST) on February 25, 2021;
2. Countervailing Duty Investigation concerning imports of Copper Tubes and Pipes from Malaysia, Thailand and Vietnam. Time: 12:00 PM (IST) on March 01, 2021;
3. Anti-dumping investigation concerning imports of Plain Medium Density Fibre Board having a thickness less than 6 mm originating in or exported from Vietnam, Malaysia, Thailand, and Indonesia. Time: 3:00 PM (IST) on February 24, 2021;
4. Anti-dumping investigation concerning imports of Plain Medium Density Fibre Board having thickness 6 mm and above produced by M/s Kim Tin MDF Joint Stock Company. Time: 11:00 AM (IST) on February 26, 2021.
