Several new provisions of Decree 08/2023/ND-CP of the Government amendments to and suspension of some articles of decrees prescribing private placement and trading of privately placed corporate bonds in domestic market and offering of corporate bonds in international market

Unlike most legislative documents, Decree 08/2023/ND-CP took effect on the date of signing, i.e., March 5, 2023. Decree 08/2023/ND-CP has several notable new provisions as follows:

1. Allows bond issuers to negotiate with bondholders to pay bond principal and interest with other assets;
2. Allows extending bond payment period; and
3. Suspending some provisions in Decree 65/2022/ND-CP until the end of December 31, 2023.
